Complete solar solutions under one roof

How solar powers your home

From sunlight to a zero bill - in five steps

1

Sunlight hits the panels

Tier-1 modules on a galvanised structure turn sunlight into DC power.

2

Inverter converts it

DC becomes the same AC power your wiring and appliances already use.

3

Your home uses it first

Fans, lights, AC and motor run on your own free power during the day.

4

Extra units go to the grid

The net meter exports what you do not use to DGVCL.

5

Your bill comes down

Exported units are adjusted against night-time use - the bill drops to near zero.

How much subsidy do I get under PM Surya Ghar?
For a residential connection the Government of India pays Rs 30,000 for a 1 kW system, Rs 60,000 for 2 kW and Rs 78,000 for 3 kW and above. The amount is credited directly to your bank account after commissioning and net-meter installation. Commercial and industrial connections are not covered by this scheme.
How much roof area is needed?
Roughly 100 sq ft of shadow-free roof per kW on a standard structure. A 3 kW home system needs about 300 sq ft. On an elevated structure the space below stays fully usable.
What happens to the electricity I do not use?
With net metering your extra units are exported to the DGVCL grid and adjusted against your consumption in the same billing cycle, so your meter effectively runs backwards during the day.
How long does the whole process take?
Site survey and design takes 2 days, material delivery 3 to 5 days and installation 2 to 3 days. Net meter installation depends on DGVCL and usually takes 2 to 4 weeks after commissioning.
What is the warranty?
25 years performance warranty on modules (30 years on TOPCon), 5 to 10 years on the inverter as per make, and a 5 year service warranty on the complete residential system from Bright Solartech Solution. The first 12 months of maintenance are free.
Does solar work in the monsoon?
Generation drops on heavily clouded days but does not stop. Gujarat gets close to 300 sunny days a year, and the surplus from the dry months balances the monsoon through net metering.
